Who are we?!

Royal Family KIDS, Inc. (RFK) is the nation’s leading network of summer camps for abused, abandoned, and neglected children in foster care. The primary purpose of Royal Family KIDS Camp is to give children, ages 7 – 11, a week of positive memories that promote healthy relationships of trust and love in a safe environment.

Royal Family KIDS of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (RFK-GSLC) will be hosting its 15th Camp, July 31-August 4, in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah for over 50 children.

“Together we can confront abuse and change lives.”

To bring 50 children to Camp for 5 days requires over 150 volunteers donating their time and energy! Our volunteers come from over twenty congregations in Utah, California, Idaho, Oregon, and Colorado! On the Sunday before Camp we attend a fantastic commissioning service at our host church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

The Camp and Mentoring programs provided by Royal Family KIDS of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church rely entirely on volunteers and donations from individuals, local businesses, and corporate partners. We are an independent 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity.

Did you know there are 3.6 million reports of child abuse and neglect each year in the United States? In Utah there are 2,700 children in foster care at any given time. Does 5 days at a summer Bible Camp make a difference for the children? Yes! We have heard from children who attended Camp during the previous 14 years how much Camp meant to them.
